Our Story

As a former national volleyball team athlete, indoor club coach, and competitive mixed martial arts coach, Joel curated a training philosophy that helps athletes think sharper, move smarter, and compete stronger. Joel Garcia
Co-founder, head coach and Certified Personal Trainer
Joel Garcia’s journey began in Venezuela, where his love for both volleyball and martial arts was sparked. Despite limited support and doubts from those around him, Joel’s unwavering belief in himself—and relentless commitment to daily training—earned him a spot on Venezuela’s national volleyball team at just 16 years old. As one of the youngest athletes to compete at that level, he went head-to-head with powerhouse teams from Brazil and Argentina, proving his talent on the court. When Venezuela’s political and economic challenges forced him to leave, Joel continued his volleyball career in the U.S. and Canada, excelling with varsity teams and expanding his trainingexpertise. Since 2017, he has worked with competitive mixed martial arts athletes and everyday people passionate about personal development and growth. In 2024, Joel coached a girls’ club volleyball team to a gold medal in its division. Now calling West Vancouver home, he is driven to share his unique training philosophy—blending martial arts and volleyball—to help athletes elevate their skills, sharpen their mindset, and compete at the next level.
